Unlike the most famous book of Taoism (or Daoism), the Tao-te-ching of Lao-tzu which is concise to the point of obscurity, the book bearing the name of Chuang-tzu explains Taoism at length, illustrating difficult points by means of anecdotes. The precise dates of Chuang-tzu are not known, but he seems to have been in the decline of his life towards 330 B.C.
